seems like the 9 pictured in the banner is part of the wording, ‘Dell 9 days of deals”

its the peole at dell ... they picked the deals… big surprise

There were user polls for what people wanted next to see during previous the Days of Deals.  Obviously you can’t cater to everyone, but the results of those polls will have at least some influence on these Days of Deals.

thanks for the info, seems like “people” picked quite terrible deals for day 1, lol.

If you look top right.. there is a drop down menu for the next upcoming days selections.  What you want to see on sale.

I like how they’ve advertised the Jabra headset as - “Never charge your headset “. This is such awesome marketing for a product that isn’t but should be rechargeable!

AAAA battery, how wonderful.

That’s a lame deal. Costco CANADA is selling the same unit for the same price with 100x better customer service should you choose to return it.

I don`t know how long it takes Dell to deliver, but Costco.ca takes forever. The product becomes obsolete once you receive it.

I’ve had good shipping / service experience from Costco.ca but I’ve only bought there 2 or 3 times.

Here’s hoping for a MSG4 deal of some kind.

Anyone know if the 1409X projector is any good? I can’t seem to find any reviews on it.

I wonder how “good” the IP wireless camera really is, some very bad reviews on CNET.

If necessary, can these deals be returned to Dell?

In terms of shipping, Dell has the worse I have ever seen. I ordered twice from Dell, both took more than two months to ship, and don’t trust the estimate ship day that they provide, it’s not accurate. Also, don’t even bother to complaint if you don’t get your shipment because they simply don’t care. Worse online shopping experience ever.

samuelism.  You might have had an isolated incident.  I have ordered many things from these Dell Days of deals and all 4 of my products have been received within the week that I placed my order.  I bought the Logitech 880 last week and received it on Friday.

I am a week+ late on a GPS unit ... I’ve had problems before ... some work some dont ... I’ve canceled a few cause 2+weeks of delays on delays is horrible ...  (they are great if it is a dell product, otherwise its 50/50)

But this is a gift for fathers day and Dell is telling me it hasnt shipped yet ... Not pleased at all

Posted June 12, 2008 @ 11:37am

I think they are particularly bad on pre-orders or hot sale items.  It seems like they sell more than they can actually deliver and don’t let you know unless you call and complain over and over.

In my past experience, if you’re going to order an item on sale or a pre-order, make sure you’re first in line. smile

Flash01, you are 100% right. Dell does sell more than they should have, but they blame the vendor for not having enough stock instead. Even you complain, all they told me was to cancel the order.

The reason we all buy from Dell because they sell stuff lower than what we have to pay in the market, but the delay is totally not worth it.

You’re right, the sad part is that they can’t deliver but never let you know about it unless you call and bother them.

Guess I’ll find it out once more if their service is up to par.  I wished for a MSG4 deal and I got it.  Kinda felt obliged to order rather than go to my local walmart because of that. smile (not really but it made me feel happy to do so). Although I’ve had success with Walmart price matching DELL prices it’s never a given.  I ordered at 7:30 this morning before work.  Now, I can still play CoD4 or GTA4 on my 360 while this arrives but if it takes more than a week I’ll be p*ssed for sure! smile

Scorpiate...why would you buy a GPS at more than $300 when the IPHONE 3G is coming. Looks like a waste of money to me !

Posted June 13, 2008 @ 5:13am

Price has been posted for the GFX card, it’s $139.99

Posted June 13, 2008 @ 9:15am

Not looking to dis’ the new 3G iPhone but the price of the will depend quite heavily on what are the 3 years plans you have to commit to.  AT&T has already confirmed it will increase their pricing on the new iPhone plans and it’s not like we’re used to good data plan rates up here in Canada anyway.

Another thing, I read that Apple will prohibit 3rd party app designers from adding turn-by-turn GPS Nav on their 3G iPhone.
